The new sushi spot opened inside the Papercut cocktail bar. The restaurant serves nigiri, sashimi and crudos featuring a variety of protein options, including wagyu, madai, maguro zuke and kanpachi. Konbini’s menu is inspired by traditional Japanese cuisine alongside flavors from Texas and Mexico.HOPE Outdoor Gallery

The outdoor art park and creative campus has reopened in Austin. The new home for the gallery, near the Austin airport, is complete with outdoor park space, mural walls and a 6,000-square-foot gallery event space. It also features a coffee bar, gift shop and art supply store.Coming Soon

The new boutique is expected to pay homage to Austin’s soul and heritage, as stated in a news release. With 20 unique rooms, guests will have the opportunity to have an individualized experience combined with the city’s culture and history. The space will offer 14 standard rooms and six signature suites including options like The Den, a warm suite inspired by Austin’s music scene green rooms, and The Pearl, a suite depicting Janis Joplin’s spirit with vibrant colors and texture.Buffalo Wild Wings Go

The to-go restaurant will serve different types of wings, crispy chicken dippers, burgers, sandwiches and appetizers. Customers can submit takeout and delivery orders through the Buffalo Wild Wings app or website, calling or visiting the store, or using a third-party delivery app like Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub.Pride Orthodontics

Atelier Dojo


The traditional fine art school is expected to relocate to a larger studio in East Austin. The business provides a range of professional programs in realism and figurative art for serious art students of all skill levels. The school offers both part-time and full-time rigorous daily curriculum in representational drawing and painting. Shorter-format weekend and evening classes are available as well as workshops and drop-in open studios.In the News

Ivester Contemporary

The fine art gallery celebrated its fifth anniversary in East Austin in September. The gallery exhibits, develops and sells work from emerging and mid-career artists. Exhibitions highlight artists who critically engage "with the past, present and future of contemporary art," Gallery Director Kevin Ivester said in an email.Girard Kinney Park at Mueller


Lake Park at the Mueller community was renamed to Girard Kinney Park at Mueller. Girard Kinney is a local architect and community leader in the Cherrywood area known for his advocacy around the redevelopment of Mueller as well as his designs of projects throughout Austin, including the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.
