Updated: Weather delays March 4 include some polling locations

Travis County announced it will extend voting hours until 9 p.m. for the March 4 joint primary election.
District Judge Lora Livingston granted an order to extend voting hours past the scheduled 7 p.m. closing time to make up for the delayed morning opening.
Pursuant to Texas election code, ballots cast by individuals who arrive at a polling place after 7 p.m. but before the polls close will be counted as provisional ballots.
Ballots cast provisionally are reviewed by a ballot board and will be accepted as long as the voter is otherwise qualified. Votes cast by eligible voters during extended hours will be counted and included in the final tally, but the results from the ballots will not be included in the evening's unofficial vote totals.

As of 9 a.m. March 4, all polling locations in Williamson County are open except the Austin Community College Round Rock campus, which will open at 11 a.m.

Williamson and Travis counties delayed the opening of some polling locations March 4 due to icy road conditions.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather storm warning for the area until noon March 4 due to a mix of precipitation and subfreezing temperatures. Voting in the primary election was set to begin in both counties at 7 a.m.
In Travis County, all vote centers will delay opening until 11 a.m., County Clerk Dana DeBeauvoir said in a statement.
"The March 4 joint primary election is a vote-centers election, so voters may cast their ballot at any polling location, not just in their registered precinct," she said. "The delay of opening the polls until later in the morning should have a minimal effect on voters since they can vote anywhere they see a "Vote Here" sign."

In Williamson County, only some voting locations will delay opening. Polling locations in Round Rock, Hutto and Leander ISDs will open at 9 a.m. The Brushy Creek MUD Recreation Center opens for voting at 10:30 a.m. Voting at Austin Community College in Round Rock starts at 11 a.m.
All other Williamson County locations will open at 7 a.m.
