Boyer defeats Glickler for district judge seat

In Hays County, Glicker earned 4,552 votes, or 63.7 percent of the total vote, according to unofficial results from the county. Boyer garnered a total of 2,593 votes in Hays County.

Glickler said he had enjoyed becoming a citizen of Hays County over the past year and a half.

"I'm incredibly proud and honored that Hays County considered me worthy of this position, not once but twice," Glickler said. "I'm proud and I'm happy, and I feel good about my prospects for the future and my role in the county."

In Comal County, unofficial results show that Boyer received 8,120 votes, or 68.3 percent of that county's total. Glickler received 3,773 votes.

In Caldwell County, unofficial results show Glickler with 406 votes to Boyer's 385.

"I'm very humbled to be able to be in this position and I know I'll do a good job," Boyer said. "I intend to preside with common sense and strict adherence to the law and make sure everything goes well."

Boyer and Glickler were the top two vote-getters among the four candidates for the seat in the May 29 primary election. The two defeated Ronnie Dickens and David L. Nigh. There were no Democratic challengers for the office.
