Central Texas women are invited to enjoy free spa treatments as a part of the Healthy Woman program at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
The event takes place Aug. 10 at CPRMC Medical Office Building B, 1401 Medical Parkway, Cedar Park, from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Healthy Woman Coordinator Staci A. Polk said local spa-related businesses and specialty boutiques will offer their services to Healthy Woman members in mini-spa sessions.
"It's a special day for us to pamper our members and educate them about different treatments," Polk said.
Healthy Woman is a hospital-sponsored project designed to empower women to make positive health and wellness choices for themselves and their families, Polk said. It is free to join, and members can enjoy programs such as the spa day and a gala.
"We truly do want to be a health resource for the community," Polk said.
Spa day exhibits will also include specialty fitness sessions, makeup application booths and health screenings. A brunch will be served with knish, fruits and an assortment of muffins, Polk said.
Polk said there are only two requirements to be admitted to the spa day: Join the Healthy Woman program and register online for one of the sessions, which run from 9–11 a.m. and 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
This is the sixth year for the spa day event and the Healthy Woman program.
