Gluten-free bread added to eatery's menu

Blue Dahlia Bistro, the West Lake Hills restaurant which opened in 2012, is a French-inspired bistro that came to be after co-owner Amy Ramiriez traveled through Europe as both a stewardess and model.

The West Lake Hills location was opened because a large number of customers at the East Austin location, which opened in 2007, were from the Westlake area, Ramirez said.

Blue Dahlia Bistro recently introduced gluten-free options to help cater to a larger customer base. The restaurant began offering gluten-free breads made by Wild Wood Bakehouse at both the East Austin and Westlake locations.

Wild Wood Bakehouse has been baking some of the best gluten-free products in Austin for the past 10 years, according to the Blue Dahlia Bistro website.

Although Blue Dahlia's breakfast and brunch have not been as popular at the West Lake Hills location as they have been at the East Austin store, there are still a number of options to choose from.

Breakfast is served on weekdays with brunch served on weekends. Breakfast is also served all day at both locations with a menu including strawberry cream cheese croissant, Belgian waffles with fresh fruit, blueberry blintzes with sweet ricotta and Greek yogurt with fresh berries.
