Customers throughout New Braunfels Utilities' service area no longer need to boil water before consumption.

After initiating a boil water notice on Feb. 17, NBU provided the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality with laboratory test results that indicate water in the system is safe for consumption without boiling.

The utility company announced on Feb. 20 that a majority of the leaks caused by extreme weather conditions last week had been repaired.
