The Districtwide Education Improvement Council came up with multiple calendar options for the board to consider before recommending one option to the board, Chief of Schools Wade Ivy said.
“Spring break corresponds with the spring break that Comal ISD adopted late last month,” Ivy said. “[The] last day of school being the 22nd of May for all of our students, and that would make that evening most likely graduation as well.”
The board voted to approve the academic calendar during a regular meeting Feb. 12.
The highlights
- First day of school: Aug. 20, 2024
- Thanksgiving break: Nov. 25-29, 2024
- Holiday break: Dec. 23, 2024-Jan. 3, 2025
- Spring break: March 17-25, 2025
- Last day of school: May 22, 2025
