Yard Sale Records opened its first brick-and-mortar store in New Braunfels.

Owner Howard Lovell started the business three years ago, after selling vinyls online and at pop-up markets in Austin and across the Hill Country.

Yard Sale Records sells new and used vinyls, books, magazines, posters and some vintage clothing. Lovell said the music sold in-store includes a lot of used Texas garage rock, honky-tonk and indie vinyls. He said he wants to support New Braunfels' culture and local music scene.

The record shop also participates in The Record Room, a quarterly vinyl market, along with other Texas vinyl vendors. The next market will be in May.
