Operation Liberty Hill, a local nonprofit, food pantry and thrift store, held a ceremony Nov. 5 to celebrate its 10th anniversary of serving the needy in Williamson County.

The history

The nonprofit has its roots as the Liberty Hill Community Food Bank, which started in 2008 out of a local church. The organization originally provided food and supplies to about 45 families in the area, but as the community grew, the food bank expanded. The organization opened its current stand-alone location in 2015.

The nonprofit has since expanded to include a thrift store in addition to its food pantry. The organization continues to accept donations and volunteers to help fill out the supply.
