What’s happening?
Larry Werner, golf course general manager, said the restaurant will be “an Irish pub with a Texas flair.”
The pub is expected to begin serving food and drinks at the golf course, which is run by the city, in 60-90 days, pending alcohol permits, he said.
Ryan Sanders Sports Services has wide-ranging experience in the hospitality industry, including working on events with the National Football League, Major League Baseball and Formula 1 racing, Werner said.
The details
According to agenda documents, the food and beverage provider will give 15% of net profits from all food and beverage sales at the property to the city.
Ryan Sanders Sports Services will also pay $75,000 upfront for renovation costs for the restaurant and bar spaces. The initial $75,000 will be deducted from the profit-sharing agreement with the city, which will lead to the city owning the incoming furniture, fixtures and equipment.
