Ahead of its scheduled opening in August, Legacy Ranch High School offered a sneak peek of the campus during a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 6.
Future students will be able to visit Liberty Hill’s second high school, located at 1277 Legacy Ranch Drive, on May 11 and May 13, according to the district.
“I just can't wait for this building to come to life,” former Liberty Hill Superintendent Steven Snell said. “For the teachers to be a part of it, the kids, the coaches, the administration and the staff. It's just a huge day for Liberty Hill.”
The setup
The 475,000-square-foot campus features an auditorium capable of seating 925 people. Additionally, Wrangler Stadium can accommodate over 9,000 fans.The Legacy Ranch High School football field can seat over 9,000 people. LRHS broke ground September 2023 amid projections for increased enrollment for Liberty Hill ISD. According to the district, over 450 crew members were on-site during the busiest times of construction.
The high school’s colors will be navy blue and legacy blue.

The context
The campus was added as LHISD faced increasing student enrollment. According to data from the Texas Education Agency, Liberty Hill ISD currently enrolls 10,469 students for the 2025-26 school year, which is a nearly 89% increase from the 5,539 students the district enrolled in 2020-21.
