Nikki and Jordan Melchor, along with partner Michael Cody, opened The Daily Blend in November after noticing the lack of healthy, on-the-go food options in Liberty Hill.

“We’re lacking healthy-eating options in the area, and that's why we’re here,” Jordan Melchor said.

The backstory

With children of their own, the Melchors knew they wanted to offer healthier options for others who have fast-paced lifestyles.

The Melchors said they chose to open The Daily Blend in Liberty Hill because of the support they have received from the community with their other small business, Texas Taco Kitchen.

Cody worked at Smokey Mo’s—which is owned by Jordan’s father, Morris Melchor—for 11 years before transitioning to Texas Taco Kitchen with Jordan Melchor. Nikki and Jordan Melchor came to Cody with the idea to partner up on opening The Daily Blend.

On the menu

The Daily Blend’s menu consists of scratch-made items, such as salads, sandwiches, smoothies and their popular protein bites—made from peanut butter, oats, honey and either raisins or chocolate chips.

The business offers online ordering, a delivery option and a drive-thru to make it as convenient and quick for guests as possible.

“We’re trying different methods to get people to come in and try us because we know if we can get them in the door once that’s a win for us,” Nikki Melchor said.
