Irish dancers, beer and bagpipes: 6 events to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the Austin area

Ring in St. Patrick’s Day with these events, including live music, Stein holding competitions, themed drinks, duck races, a costume contest and more.

St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at Volente Beach

Volente Beach Resort and Waterpark will host a St. Patrick’s Day weekend-long celebration with Irish dancers, food and drinks, live music, duck races, a Stein holding competition and beer olympics.

The Domain Northside’s Irish Pub will host a three-day celebration with interactive games, Stein holding contests, a puppy costume contest, crawfish boil and more. On St. Patrick’s day, the bar will host a festival with green beer, music, carnival games, face painting and drink and food vendors.

Locals can pre-purchase a wristband to get access to eight Austin bars with no cover, and get drink specials all night. Participating bars include Happy Chicks, BBG’S, The Cat’s Pajamas, Gnar Bar and more.
