Hilton Worldwide has plans for a Hampton Inn & Suites in the Cedar Park Town Center off of the future Central Park Road.[/caption]

Plans are underway for a Hampton Inn & Suites to tentatively break ground in the Cedar Park Town Center early next year.

The approximately 109-room hotel will be located on Central Park Road, which is currently under construction near Discovery Boulevard, according to a statement from Hilton Worldwide.

The hotel will cater to the business and leisure traveler, Hilton representatives said in the statement, and it aims to provide ample meeting space for corporate and local businesses.

“The Hampton Inn & Suites will be set amongst the water and hiking trails of downtown Cedar Park and will feature the amenities synonymous with the Hilton brand of hotels,” according to the statement. “Hilton Worldwide is excited to be a part of Cedar Park, and we look forward to serving the community with the hospitality it deserves.”

This will be the seventh hotel to come to Cedar Park, Director of Economic Development Phil Brewer said.

“We’re always excited about adding additional hotel rooms to the community,” he said. “It’s really critical from a tourism standpoint to go out and recruit different events to the community, so having more hotels in town broadens that ability for us to bring in larger projects that use up those hotel rooms.”

The developer for the project said they are working with the city to finish needed utilities and will move forward with the project when Central Park Road is completed in September or October.
