Tutor Doctor Lakeway, which was established two years ago by owner Michelle Smallwood, pivoted operations amid the coronavirus pandemic to create an alternative learning environment for students.

In November, when in-home tutoring was no longer a viable option, the customized one-to-one tutoring service partnered with local coworking space FUSE Workspace—located at 14425 Falcon Head Blvd., Bee Cave—to continue tutoring in a safe environment.

Smallwood said the new space has been a safe and effective option for tutors and students, especially those struggling with online schoolwork.

Tutor Doctor has a growing pool of more than 25 tutors with the ability to teach a wide variety of school subjects and life skills for individuals of any age. 512-550-9924. www.tutordoctor.com/lakeway
