The Eanes ISD board of trustees approved Sheri Bryant as the principal of Bridge Point Elementary School at its special meeting on March 8.

With 17 years of experience in public education, Bryant has served as the interim principal for the school since 2020, and she previously served as the assistant principal and campus support specialist of the school. She also was a kindergarten teacher at Bridge Point Elementary in 2004.

"It's not been a boring first year," Bryant said. "Thank you so much for this opportunity. I am so grateful to lead a great school with great students, staff and parents."

Before her time at EISD, Bryant worked as a special education teacher in Austin ISD at Casis Elementary School. She received her principal certification through Texas State University and her master's in education in curriculum and instruction through The University of Texas. She also holds multiple state education certifications.

"I just want to say how much I appreciate her stepping up at this particular point in time," Board Member Ellen Balthazar said. "It was a tough time to take on the job, and she's done remarkably well."
