Georgetown officials are seeking feedback from the community regarding general knowledge of the natural waterway systems and the programs the city provides to protect those systems.

A release said the results will be used to develop or improve educational materials and programs that citizens can use to help protect water quality.

To take the survey, go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/GeorgetownWatershed. The survey closes Jan. 12.

Georgetown has a stormwater-management program as required by federal and state regulations, the release said. The program describes the steps required to reduce pollutants in the city’s stormwater.

The city’s existing programs and activities are designed to protect the environment and water quality, the release said. The survey results will be used to improve the program and community outreach.
