The maximum price Georgetown ISD will pay to build its next elementary and middle school will not exceed $103.3 million after trustees approved a guarantee of this price Nov. 18.

GISD trustees approved an agreement with American Constructors for a second guaranteed maximum price to cover the costs of building the two new campuses, Elementary School No. 12 and Middle School No. 5, which are funded by the 2024 bond.

The total cost to construct the elementary school is $38.37 million, while the cost of construction for the middle school is $64.92 million, according to district documents, 5% under budget after some reduction in scope of the project.

This brings the total maximum cost allocated for the two campuses to about $130 million, as the board approved a maximum price of $26.89 million to prepare the sites of the new schools in August.

Per the district, completion of these projects is currently planned for May 2026.
