The Georgetown ISD board of trustees named Michael Wall as the new East View High School head football coach during a board meeting April 19.

According to a release, Wall previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Georgetown High School from 2010-12 and at Lake Travis High School from 2007-10 and 2014-18. Wall has coached in seven state title games, winning four state championship rings.

For the past four years, Wall has served as director of athletics and head football coach at Willis High School in Willis, Texas, helping the Wildkats reach the Class 6A state playoffs the last two seasons and winning the bi-district championship in 2021.

Wall attended The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on a full athletic scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in history before obtaining a master's degree in teaching, history and education. While at The University of Tulsa, Wall served as an on-field graduate assistant coach for the football program.

“We are excited to have Coach Wall in Georgetown ISD,” GISD Director of Athletics Jason Dean said in the release. “We have seen the great things he has accomplished at every coaching stop he has had, and I am eager to see him bring those talents to East View.”
