Williamson County and Cities Health District reported seven new cases of the coronavirus May 21, bringing the county total to 520, according to a daily report.

Of the 520 confirmed cases, 292 have recovered, the report said.

Currently, 24 patients are hospitalized, up from 16 the day prior, and seven are in intensive care, up from four the day prior, per the report. Three patients are on a ventilator, it said.

The WCCHD also reported 43% of beds and 67% of ventilators are available.


On May 20, the county reached 513 confirmed cases.


Here is an update on the cities of residence of confirmed cases, according to the WCCHD:

  • Austin: 29

  • Cedar Park: 38

  • Georgetown: 67

  • Hutto: 36

  • Leander: 41

  • Round Rock: 254

  • Other: 55


Officials said the county is not legally able to release the specific counts in cities with fewer than 20,000 residents. For more information, such as gender and age breakdowns, visit the county’s dashboard.
