From Fox 7 Weather Chief Meteorologist Scott Fisher:
After some record-breaking warm temperatures early in the week, a strong cold front has cooled off the Austin area.
Showers will cover much of the area on Wednesday, but cool, dry air surges in for Thursday and Friday. Even with sunshine, temperatures will remain below normal for a few days.
A modest warming trend will be in store for the upcoming weekend, and Central Texas may see a few showers as another weaker cold front approaches on Sunday.
