Co-owner Oscar Aldama said the restaurant is debuting its variety of breakfast tacos and lunch tacos during the soft opening and plans to hold a grand opening event after the South by Southwest music and media conference in March.
"It's exciting to finally have the doors open and see the first customers come in and [get their] feedback on what they think about the atmosphere," he said.
A wall mural painted by a local artist features Austin landmarks and highlights such as Lady Bird Lake and the Austin Trail of Lights, he said. Tacos are named for festivals and events, including the South By Southwest, the Austin City Limits and the Pecan Street Festival. Kesos will also host live music on a regular basis, Aldama said.
The business is open Mon.–Fri. 6 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sat.–Sun. 7 a.m.–8 p.m.
