The Austin Fire Department fought to put out a fire at the popular barbecue spot, Franklin, on Saturday morning. The fire has since been put out and there are reportedly no injuries.

Fire crews responded to Franklin Barbecue around 5:30 a.m. located at 900 East 11th Street in downtown Austin.

Austin fire officials tweeted just before 6 a.m. confirming the fire. Just as FOX 7's Tania Ortega was heading out to cover the effects of Hurricane Harvey when she spotted flames at Franklin Barbecue.

AFD says the cause of the fire was accidental. They say a windblown ember from a fire pit ignited combustible surroundings.

The famed spot usually attracts lines of customers waiting to order pulled pork, brisket and other smoked meats.
