May is National Bike Month, and local organizations are gearing up to celebrate Bike to Work Day on May 19.

From 7-9 a.m. May 19, over 40 fueling stations around the city will hand out coffee, tacos, waffles, snacks and more, along with complimentary bike tune-ups, to bicycle commuters. Click here to see a full map of fueling stations and what they will offer. The morning will conclude with a celebration at City Hall featuring bike-friendly vendors and special guest speakers.

Additionally, there are other ways residents can participate:
  • If residents have a longer commute, Transit & Ride options will be available through five CapMetro stations with fueling stations nearby or a Park & Ride option at the Lady Bird Lake parking lot.
  • If residents don’t have a bike, MetroBike Austin will have stations throughout downtown and offer free passes all day with the code “BTWD2023.”
There will also be a Bike to Work Day After Party at Central Machine Works from 6-8 p.m with live music plus food and drink specials for cyclists.
