Austin ISD athletics and fine arts events are now open to the public without audience capacity limits, according to a press release from the district Feb. 11.

Attendees will still be required to wear masks inside all AISD buildings, including stadiums and performance venues.

In January, AISD implemented a two-guest per player limit at indoor athletics events to combat the omicron outbreak.

The district cited declining COVID-19 cases and Austin’s likely return to Stage 4 guidelines as reasons for the change.
