In addition to Goldy’s opening, sweet shop Cookie Rich will relocate from its current post at 2201 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, to neighbor the new concept in Tarrytown.
Meet the owner
Goldy’s and Cookie Rich are helmed by Austin local Lorin Peters, who comes with a decade of experience working as a savory chef, including time at three-Michelin-star restaurant The French Laundry.
Goldy’s marks Peters’ second concept behind Cookie Rich, which launched in 2020.
On the menu
Peters’ breakfast menu includes several savory pastries, such as a grilled ham and cheese roll—a savory take on a cinnamon roll with ham, aged cheddar and whipped Dijon mustard—and a crispy hash brown topped with smoked salmon, red onion cream cheese, capers, dill and Everything But The Bagel seasoning. The breakfast menu also features some kid-friendly items, including Goldy's version of an “Uncrustable,” which is a crustless bread pocket stuffed with fudge.
The lunch menu focuses on sandwiches and salads, including a roasted chicken panini with sun-dried tomatoes and caramelized onions on Texas French Breads’ focaccia, and a fresh melon salad with seasonal summer melon, cucumber, Fresno chili, mint and lime agave vinaigrette.
Next door at Cookie Rich, Peters’ will serve up bite-sized cookies, chocolate-filled cinnamon rolls, milkshakes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, butterfly pea tea lemonade and coffee from local roaster Greater Goods.
