Tarrytown Fourth of July Parade
The 27th annual neighborhood parade includes floats, cars and firetrucks. A party following the parade includes Maudies breakfast tacos, Teo's Gelato, Kona Ice, cookie decorating and face painting. Red, White and Blues at Geraldine's

Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic

Rattle Inn 4th of July celebration

HEB 4th of July Fireworks and Symphony
The Austin Symphony hosts an annual concert of patriotic music culminating in a firework display over Lady Bird Lake. Outside food and drinks are not allowed but vendors will be selling concessions. The Travelin’ McCourys, Jeff Austin Band Grateful Ball
Celebrate the nation’s independence with an evening of bluegrass music. Each band will play one set and then they will play a set of Grateful Dead songs. Tickets $15-50. Doors 6 p.m. Age 21 and up.

2nd annual Pudding Wrestling competition
Austin Facial Hair Club is putting on the second installment of their 4th of July Pudding Wrestling competition. There will be live rock ’n roll music and anyone equipped with the appropriate facial hair can compete. Entrance is free. 3-7 p.m. The Blackheart, 86 Rainey St., Austin.

Fast Eddie’s 4th of July hot-dog eating contest
Visit Fast Eddie’s Billiards & Sports Bars around the state on July 3 for a chance to compete in a hot-dog eating contest.
