Looking for ways to celebrate Independence Day this summer? Check out these July events dedicated to ringing in America’s 250th birthday, including parades, pickleball and pool parties.
This list is not comprehensive. All events are subject to change.
4th of July Country Fest
The Fieldhouse at the Crossover is hosting a weekend filled with live music, water slides, a hot dog eating contest and food from local vendors. Attendees can expect performances from Steph Cash Band, Kyle Garrett, Cela Harper and more.
Liberty Hill’s annual Fourth of July celebration will feature food trucks, live music, kids activities and community contests. Attendees can enter to win the homemade apple pie, watermelon seed spitting and hot dog eating competitions. The evening ends with a fireworks show.
Leander’s largest annual event, held lakeside the night before Independence Day, features live music, food vendors, a Kids Zone with inflatables and a fireworks finale over the water. This year’s edition is the biggest to date, with the City Council approving expanded programming. Parking for the event will be at Glenn High School.
The Omni Hotel in downtown Austin is hosting a rooftop pool party to commemorate Independence Day. The event will feature DJ sets. Happy hour specials, free frozen treats and city views.
The city’s annual Fourth of July event will include a morning bike parade, bounce houses, live music, food trucks and more. The celebration will end with a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
Pickle Pit Stop is hosting a pickleball community day with competitions, live music, open play, food and drink trucks, a cornhole tournament and door prizes.
Westlake Chamber of Commerce will host an Independence Day parade with costume contests, live music and free food. The costume contest categories include most patriotic, best dressed pet and best “thing on wheels.” The parade route will travel down Westlake Drive, Rocky River and Reveille Road.
The Fourth of July event includes a Pet & Pedal Parade, a downtown scavenger hunt, live music, lawn games, bounce houses, water slides, an obstacle course, concessions and fireworks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
The annual Fourth of July parade will take place on Mays Street, between Mays Crossing and Hwy. 79. After the parade, holiday festivities will continue with Frontier Days at Old Settlers Park, featuring live music, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, a pepper-eating contest, fireworks, vendors and more.
Celebrate America’s birthday with a parade. The parade will begin at 9:15 a.m. at Castell Avenue and Bridge Street. Attendees are encouraged to wear star-spangled attire.
Locals can visit Auditorium Shores for food trucks, activities, market vendors, live entertainment and fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Live music lovers can celebrate America’s Independence Day with live performances from Willie Nelson and Family, Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow, Margo Price and more.
Market vendors, food and drink vendors, games and live music will take place at the event before a countdown to the fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Cedar Park’s annual Fourth of July celebration features live music, carnival rides, inflatables, food trucks and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., followed by an outdoor movie screening. The city recommends Cedar Park High School, Cedar Park Middle School or Austin Community College for parking as there is no on-site parking.
Locals can visit Old Gregg Brewing Co. for face painting, a water balloon toss, food specials, a fireworks display, a new beer release and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets for the fireworks show at dusk.
The city of Hutto’s annual Fourth of July celebration will take place at Adam Orgain Park. The holiday event will include bounce houses, games, face painters, food trucks, community vendors, a DJ and fireworks.
San Marcos will launch fireworks from the UFCU Stadium to celebrate the USA’s 250th birthday. The best places to view the show include UFCU Stadium, City Park, San Marcos Activity Center and the San Marcos Public Library.
