Bar Hacienda is now open at its new brick and mortar on Rainey Street, serving up specialty cocktails.
The context
The cocktail bar initially opened in 2025 in the basement of Tiger Lilly, an Austin-based event venue that closed its doors in late March, according to an Instagram post.
The concept was founded by Terance Robson, creative director, and Jack Hogan, director of operations and “inspired by the energy, flavors, and rhythms of Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina and across Latin America,” according to a news release.
In their own words
“Finding a permanent home on Rainey felt like the natural next chapter for Bar Hacienda,” Robson shared in the release. “This move gives us the space and freedom to evolve the concept while staying true to what made people fall in love with it—great drinks, great music and a space that doesn’t take itself too seriously.”
On the menu
Patrons can find reimagined classic cocktails and unique flavor combinations coming to life behind the bar. The new location will continue offering bestsellers including the Jezebel, made with vodka, passion fruit, champagne, cordial and verjus, as well as the Mix & Matcha, made with Altos tequila, clarified guava, matcha tea, spice and soda.
Brand new additions to the bar includes the Hacienda Daiquiri, a rum-blend drink with sweet plantain, palm sugar and lime. Another new drink is the Tomatini, which is a butter-washed vodka with olive oil gin, clarified tomatillo water and sherry blend.
One more thing
Jesus Verde, Michael Barbosa and Victor Bernal, the new managing partners, will oversee daily operations at Bar Hacienda. The bar is open Wednesday-Sunday with daily happy hour specials featuring $7 signature cocktails.
