After recently celebrating its five-year anniversary, Cherry Creek Catfish in Leander has closed.

A sign stating the restaurant is out of business has been placed on the locked front door of the former restaurant at 11840 Hero Way W., Bldg. A, and there was no answer or voicemail on the restaurant’s phone line.

A voicemail message left on owner Danny Lenertz’s cell phone was not immediately returned.

Cherry Creek Catfish’s original location, at 5712 Menchaca Road in South Austin, remains open.
