Strong Sprouts youth gym and indoor playground coming soon to The Crossover

The family moved to Texas three years ago, and prior to that, David Fiori owned and operated gyms in California, Connecticut and South Carolina. Once they relocated to the Austin area, he said the family looked for a facility that had both children’s gym offerings and an indoor playground, but came up empty-handed.

“We took this concept of wanting to combine the best of both worlds—a kids' indoor gym and a kids' indoor playground—and turn it into a full functioning facility that helps engage kids, mostly the next generation, to be leaders and thrive while having fun,” David Fiori said.

What they offer

The gym and indoor playground will feature an event space for birthday parties, rooms for homeschooling, age-based gym classes, organized and free play. For the playground, children ages 6 months and older can use the space. Kids aged 4 years and older can utilize the gym area.

“The goal here is maybe one child is working in the gym, working on balance, stability, coordination [or] whatever it may be, while the other one is able to go play in the playground area and just have a blast running around playing,” he said. “And the parent would be able to sit back, relax and have their kids both being taken care of on the same level.”

Children up to 13-years-old can utilize both the gym and play space. One-on-one coaching will be available for children beyond that age range.

Strong Sprouts will integrate biblical teachings into their practices. Additionally, the business will focus on parental involvement and education, teaching them about nutrition, healthy eating habits, lifestyle and community, David Fiori.
