Bastrop ISD schools will remain closed Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to freezing temperatures. The announcement was made on the Bastrop ISD website.
The closure applies to the over 13,000 students in Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Red Rock, Rockne and Paige.
Bastrop County is under a wind chill advisory until 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
Looking ahead
As of 4 p.m. Jan. 15, no further closures have been made but will be determined based on weather conditions. A decision will be made on Tuesday, Jan. 16, for the following day's schedule.
