Ownership at Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar has changed hands.

The details

Char Rebell and Stephanie Berry have nearly 50 years of experience in the natural health industry, and are planning to transform the business into a wellness cafe after purchasing Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar from DeLacey Martin in early September.

“My whole goal is to not sell anything that I wouldn’t feed my children,” Rebell told Community Impact. “Nutrition is one of the biggest steps that people can actually take to start on a healthy path, and I’m here to assist people in how that works for them.”

The menu

Radiant Juice + Smoothie Bar currently offers a variety of drink options, including:
  • Juices
  • Smoothies
  • Smoothie bowls
  • Juice shots
  • Elixirs
“Our smoothies are 100% fruit,” Rebell said. “We don’t put any ice in them. We don’t dilute them. We make sure that when you get a smoothie, you’re paying for a smoothie that’s healing and helping you be a healthier person.”

The outlook

Rebell and Berry plan to continue to source as many ingredients as they can locally, and eventually add coffee to their growing list of offerings.

“It’ll be espresso with health additives, such as mushrooms and things like that,” Rebell said.

A rebranding, she emphasized, will also be in the works.

“We’ll be changing the name up a little bit also as we go forward to reflect more of what we're doing,” Rebell said. “We're not just going to be a juice bar anymore. We're going to be a community here in Bastrop that's focused on learning more about health and how to increase health naturally and getting guidance in doing so.”

Notable quote

“We're catching people that are going from Houston to Austin, who are used to having something like what we're offering in Bastrop available to them,” Rebell said. “So they're literally searching us out and stopping on the way through.”
