Christina and Adam Want took over Bastrop Cafe in February, with plans to perk up the menu in the future.

Christina Want said the previous owners mentioned they were looking to pass it on, and she and her husband were excited to take over.

What they offer

Nestled inside the Bastrop Fitness Project, the cafe serves coffee made with beans sourced from Bastrop’s Texas Coffee Works.

What else?

In addition to coffee, the menu at Bastrop Cafe includes teas, refreshers, milkshakes, smoothies, healthy snacks and more.

Monthly specials, like the Luck of the Irish mint milkshake, are also available.

Christina Want said customers can now order online for pick-up or through UberEats and DoorDash, with Favor coming soon.

Lend a hand

In a social media post, Christina Want mentioned they have teamed up with several local businesses and organizations, as well as the national nonprofit Flip Flop to the World, to collect new flip-flops for underserved communities.

Those interested in donating can drop them off at Bastrop Cafe.
