Construction is underway on Manor's first H-E-B after a groundbreaking ceremony on Oct. 9.

In a news release, company officials said the 101,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late 2025.
Veronica Seever, Elgin Chamber of Commerce president, said the city of Elgin is looking forward to the Manor H-E-B opening—not just for their neighbors in Manor.
"Also for the impact it will have on Elgin," Seever said. "Our local H-E-B currently serves many residents in the Manor area, and this has caused high demand and tight aisles. We look forward to alleviating the additional traffic and creating potential space for our own residents."

On Oct. 7, H-E-B stores began rolling out tap-to-pay options in San Antonio, with other Texas areas expected to begin offering it by the end of October.

Although the tap-to-pay option will not be available at fuel pumps, it will be available at the fuel station payment kiosks, as previously reported by Community Impact.
