Images Alterations in Bastrop will offer fashion and design classes under new ownership.

The details

Owner Lori Hinze purchased the business from Cynthia Garza in early December 2024.

Hinze said after over 17 years of business, Garza was selling the business so she could move to be closer to her grandkids. The deal was a perfect match as Hinze’s mother was a seamstress who was looking for a way to spend more time in Bastrop with her grandkids.

“I’m just continuing Cynthia’s legacy of servicing Bastrop and communities beyond,” Hinze said.

The business offers general fittings and alterations as well as men’s suit fittings and wedding dress fittings and monogramming.

What else?

In addition to the new ownership, Hinze said they will be launching the Images Sewing and Fashion Design Academy on April 15. The academy will offer a range of classes for both children and adults including but not limited to sewing, fashion design and quilting.

Camps will also be available and will feature a fashion show at the end of each week.

The goal of the academy is to raise the next generation to grow up with sewing and life skills which boost confidence and creativity, Hinze said.
