Need something to do this weekend? Here is a list of five events happening in the Allen area July 24-26. This list is not comprehensive and events are subject to change.
1. 'Toy Story' trivia night
The Brass Tap is hosting a “Toy Story”-themed trivia night. Guests can enjoy themed cocktails and will have a chance to win prizes.
2. Collin County Veterans Expo
The Texas Veterans Land Board, Texas Veterans Commission and Allen Senior Recreation Center are partnering to host the Collin County Veterans Expo. Veterans, active military members and spouses can learn about resources available to them.
3. Back-to-school open skate
Allen Parks and Recreation is hosting an open skate event at the Allen Community Ice Rink. Guests who bring a school supply donation will receive a free skate rental.
4. Southern Couch Band
Listen to live music at Watters Creek Village. Southern Couch Band plays classics from the '60s through the '90s. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
5. Christmas in July
The Allen Public Library is hosting a Christmas in July event where attendees can make holiday cards, ornaments and other festive crafts.
