Family-owned and -operated Menchie’s will celebrate its first anniversary in February, and co-owner Donna Brown said there is much for the frozen yogurt shop to celebrate.

“This first year has been successful for us,” she said. “Our mission is to make you smile, and we believe we have done that with each guest. We are retaining our customers because they enjoy the experience they
have here.”

Brown said she has been involved in the Colleyville community by surprising teachers with yogurt, donating school supplies and creating achievement awards for students. Menchie’s will also give away free yogurt Feb. 1 from 4-7 p.m. to celebrate National Frozen Yogurt Day.

In October, Brown introduced yogurt cakes that are customizable.

Also, each month she introduces two new yogurt flavors. January’s flavors are Classic Chocolate Malt and Rich and Nutty Pistachio.
