Cedar Park City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a special called joint meeting at 6 p.m. at Cedar Park City Hall, 450 Cypress Creek Road, Bldg. 3, Cedar Park. The agenda includes discussions on the city's comprehensive plan and future land use plan.

Wednesday


The Leander Public Library hosts Bow Wow Reading Dog, during which participants can sign up to read to Lilly, a dog trained specially through Austin Dog Alliance’s Bow Wow Reading Dogs program. The event is best for new or reluctant readers who are already reading independently, but need more practice or confidence. The free event runs from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Leander Public Library, 1011 S. Bagdad Road, Leander.

Members of Cedar Park City Council are scheduled to attend a Meet Your Government Officials event at 5 p.m. at Red Horn Coffee House & Brewing Co., 13010 W. Parmer Lane, Ste. 800, Cedar Park.

The Leander Public Arts Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Leander Parks and Recreation Office at 406 Municipal Drive, Leander. Thursday


Leander ISD board of trustees will meet at 6:15 p.m. at 1900 Cougar Country Drive, Cedar Park. The public portion of the meeting will begin at about 6:45 p.m. Trustees are scheduled to discuss the 2017-18 school calendar, capital needs and funding. See the full agenda here.

Leander City Council will meet at 7 p.m. at Pat Bryson Municipal Hall, 201 N. Brushy St., Leander. The council agenda includes items related to the Fire Station No. 1 relocation project as well as four public hearings, one related to the zoning of the future site of St. David's Medical Center on San Gabriel Parkway.

Leander Public Library hosts Teen Game Night for patrons age 12-19. The event includes holiday movies and games. Participants should bring a wrapped present under $10 for the holiday exchange. Reservations are encouraged. The free event runs 6-11 p.m. at Leander Public Library, 1011 S. Bagdad Road, Leander.
