The Texas Department of Transportation announced the following Austin-area road closures Dec. 9-11. Major roads will be affected.

Interstate 35



  • The southbound outside lane will be closed approaching Rundberg Lane from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.

  • I-35 will be reduced to one southbound outside lane between Williamson Creek and William Cannon Drive from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.


US 183



  • The southbound Manor Road exit will be closed from 6 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday.

  • The northbound main lanes and access road of US 183 will be closed between Manor/Springdale Road and US 290 from 6 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday.

  • The turnarounds in both directions at Manor/Springdale Road will be closed until further notice. Drivers will use the intersection.


US 290



  • On Sunday, an eastbound lane will be closed between William Cannon Drive and Joe Tanner Lane from 6 a.m until noon.


SH 71



  • The westbound entrance ramp from Presidential Blvd. will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday, from 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday, and from 7 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.

  • SH 71 will be reduced to one lane each direction between US 183 and Kellam Road from 8 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday.

  • The highway will have alternating eastbound lane closures between Spirit of Texas Drive and Golf Course Road from 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m. Sunday.

  • There's no access to/from Cheviot Lane for six weeks. Detour via Terry Lane.

  • There's no access to/from Fallwell Ave., Bessie Ave., and Royster Ave. at westbound SH 71 for six weeks. Fallwell Ave. Traffic detours can be used via the SH 130 access road. Bessie and Royster avenues have traffic detours via Eva St. and FM 973.

  • Westbound traffic has shifted to temporary lanes between Ross Road and FM 973 until further notice. The traffic shift extends to Terry Lane. An entrance ramp is open so traffic can access to overpass at FM 973.


MoPac



  • A southbound lane will be closed between Parmer Lane and US 183 from 10 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday.

  • The southbound outside lane will be closed at 35th St. from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

  • The northbound inside lane will be closed between Enfield Road and Westover Road from 10 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Saturday, and 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights. The Sunday closure will extend to 45th St.

  • The northbound outside lane will be closed between Hancock Drive and RM 2222 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday and Monday nights. The exit to RM 2222 will also be closed.

  • A southbound lane will be closed between US 183 and the Steck Ave. exit from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday nights. The entrance ramp from US 183 and the Steck Ave. exit will also be closed.

  • The northbound entrance ramps from Cesar Chavez St. and 6th St. will be closed from midnight until 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will detour up the access road to the next on ramp.


RM 150



  • The road is down to one-lane traffic control with flaggers between Lux Road and SH 21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.


Enfield Road



  • The westbound outside lane will be closed under MoPac from midnight Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.


Westover Road



  • There will be various closures in both directions under MoPac from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
