Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its fourth Plano location Oct. 1 at 5301 Alma Road and will continue its three-day grand opening celebration with KPLX 99.5 The Wolf and $2 pulled pork sandwiches on Saturday, Oct. 3.

One winner will also be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.

This is the first venture into the barbecue business for franchise owners Tim and Sabrina Rahman. Having moved from Bangladesh five years ago, both moved to the United States to pursue the American dream. The couple underwent a four-week training program for new franchisees, who said they look forward to becoming part of the Dickey's family.

“I always wanted to own my own business,” said Tim in a news release. “I am very grateful for all the support I’ve received during this process.”

"Dickey's Barbecue Pit has over 500 locations across the U.S., but our home base is in Texas," Dickey's CEO said Roland Dickey, Jr. said in the release. "We look forward to opening our newest Texas store in Plano and we are proud to support Tim and Sabrina in achieving their dream."
