SBK-2015-08-101. FM 150 center turn lane


Hays County and the Texas Department of Transportation will add a center turn lane to the 3.8-mile portion of FM 150 from Lox to Hwy. 21. Construction crews were waiting for utilities to be relocated throughout the project area before starting work on the road as of Aug. 6.

2. Hwy. 123 & Wonder World overpass


TxDOT is constructing an overpass on Hwy. 123 in San Marcos that will span Wonder World Drive. A signal will be built at the intersection as well as a bridge with two lanes in each direction and access roads with two lanes in each direction.


Timeline: March 2015-mid-2017
Cost: $11.6 million

3. Hunter Road widening


Project Engineer Richard Reynosa said work is nearly complete on the widening project, which spans from near Bishop Street to Wonder World Drive in San Marcos. Final paving of the project was scheduled for mid-August.

4.Goforth Road widening


This project, spanning I-35 to Bunton Creek Road in Kyle, will widen the two-lane road to three lanes in some areas and four lanes in others. Right of way acquisition is nearly complete, and construction could start by early 2016.
