Insight for Living is building an international headquaters in Frisco.[/caption]The Rev. Chuck Swindoll’s ministry, Insight for Living, is building its international headquarters in Frisco and is expected to be finished with the first portion in Jan. 2016.
In 2011, Insight for Living purchased seven acres of land for the $16 million, 64,000-square-foot headquarters, which will include a bookstore, apartments for visiting pastors and a distribution center.
The development will be at Lebanon Road and Parkwood Boulevard next to Stonebriar Community Church, where Swindoll preaches.
Julian P. Barry General Contractor is the developer of the project. Project manager Nila Hutcheson said construction began in Nov. 2014 and is currently at 40 percent on the first phase of the project.
“Right now we are erecting structural steel and working underground and slab rough-in plumbing and electrical,” Hutcheson said. “[And we’re] starting ductwork at the basement.”
The ministry’s main channel is a half-hour radio broadcast distributed both domestically and internationally extending into seven countries, according to the ministry website.
