The Woodlands Development Company has announced its latest restaurant to open in the Hughes Landing development. Local Pour will open later this year on what is being billed by the Development Company as "Restaurant Row."

The Woodlands will be the second Houston-area location for Local Pour. The original location is on West Gray in River Oaks. Local Pour offers a chef-driven menu, a large selection of craft beers, wine and crafted cocktails.

"Based on the success of its first location in River Oaks and the current development in The Woodlands area, we believe that this area will become one of the top growth markets in the southwest, not just for restaurants, but all segments of the economy," Local Pour director of marketing Heather Suggitt said. "Our scratch kitchen and focus on providing the customer with Texas options of beer, wine and spirits will cater to the current consumer trends in restaurant growth."

Local Pour is the second restaurant to be formally announced by the Development Company for Restaurant Row, which it says will feature 12 restaurants along a boardwalk on Lake Woodlands. Previously announced for the site was Escalante's, which will also open later this year. The Development Company is also working to bring California Pizza Kitchen to Hughes Landing.

"Restaurant Row will be a major attraction for the employees, residents and visitors to Hughes Landing on Lake Woodlands," said Paul Layne, executive vice president of master-planned communities for the Howard Hughes Corporation, which owns The Woodlands Development Company. "Having a variety of lakeside dining options available within walking distance to office buildings, residences, shopping and entertainment distinguishes Hughes Landing from the competition."
