The city of Humble as well as Humble and New Caney ISDs, and a local municipal utility district will have items on the ballot in the upcoming May 6 election.

Dates to know:
  • Last day to register to vote: April 6
  • First day of early voting by personal appearance: April 24
  • Last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked): April 25
  • Last day of early voting by personal appearance: May 2
  • Last day to receive ballot by mail: May 5 at 7 p.m. if carrier envelope is not postmarked, or May 8 at 5 p.m. if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election on election day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply)
When to vote: During early voting in Harris County, polls are open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. April 24-29 and May 1-2, and from noon-7 p.m. April 30. During early voting in Montgomery County, polls are open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. April 24-29 and from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 1-2. On election day, polls are open in both counties from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Where to vote: Harris County residents can vote at any voting center in the county during early voting and on election day. Proposition A:
The issuance of $634,000,000 of bonds by the New Caney Independent School District for school facilities and the levying of a tax in payment thereof. This is a property tax increase.


Proposition B: The issuance of $61,000,000 of bonds by the New Caney Independent School District for school extracurricular facilities, including baseball/softball and expanding the ag science center, and the levying of a tax in payment thereof. This is a property tax increase.
