Work has started toward Loop 202 interchange at Lindsay Road

Construction began May 6 on the west side of Pecos Road and Lindsay Road, running to 144th Street, in preparation for adding a Loop 202-Santan Freeway interchange at Lindsay Road.

This work will be for Lindsay Road improvements from Pecos, including the intersection, to the Loop 202 underpass to major arterial standards.

The improvements include additional lanes, a raised median, sidewalks and streetlights.

Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction allowing left turns.

The project's work will run from May through March 2020.

Town of Gilbert bonds, Maricopa Association of Government funds and developer contributions will fund the $12.6 cost.
