When stay-at-home parents need a break, some child care and church facilities offer short-term day care options for young children known as Mother’s Day Out. This is a noncomprehensive guide of such programs in the Sugar Land and Missouri City area.

Owned by Iris Granados, the home-based day care in the Lake Olympia subdivision follows Fort Bend ISD’s guidelines for kindergarten preparation. Children work on phonics and alphabet learning activities and can use an outdoor playground. A snack and lunch are provided, as well as age-appropriate STEM activities. Summer camps are available in June and July.

The one-, two- or three-day program takes children to chapel once each week and offers weekly Spanish instruction for children age 3 and older.
