Making homeownership accessible: How 1 Round Rock community is bridging the gap for buyers

As Round Rock continues to grow, many residents are finding it harder to stay in the community they’ve long called home. For college graduates and early-career professionals returning to the area, that challenge is especially clear. It often leaves them to choose between renting, moving farther away or waiting for homeownership to feel attainable.

Recognizing this need, RGC Multifamily Ventures set out to provide a solution that allows residents to stay connected to their roots while stepping onto the property ladder.

Introducing The Townhomes @ Old Settlers

Set near Old Settlers Park and the Round Rock baseball complex, The Townhomes @ Old Settlers offers options designed for both lifestyle and practicality.

The townhomes start at $399,900 and follow a loft-style carriage house design. They have open concept second floors that combine the kitchen, dining and living areas, all under soaring 10-foot ceilings. The primary suites feature both a walk-in shower and a soaking tub, luxuries rarely found in entry-level homes. The secondary bedrooms are generously sized..

“We are committed to providing upper-line quality in what is actually a first-time buyer type of home,” President of RGC Multifamily Ventures, Dan Rigney, said.

The community has been designed to foster connection through amenities, including:
  • A dog park
  • A pavilion with seating and a barbeque area
  • A children’s playground
  • A community garden
“[These] gathering places will help to foster a sense of community,” Rigney said. “A dog park ... is a good icebreaker.”

The community garden is also a standout feature.

“We’ve set up ... about 36 different planter boxes,” Rigney said. “These boxes will be about three feet wide and about eight feet long. People will be able to grow what they want. They’ll get assigned their own section.”

How does location enhance lifestyle and convenience?

“We envision that this is going to be an active lifestyle community, given the location,” Vice President of Development, Jonathan Rigney, said.

Residents will be within walking distance of the Round Rock baseball complex and the soccer fields. They’ll also be near the newly renovated city waterpark and Dell Diamond.

Why should buyers act now?

The townhomes are built to accommodate diverse needs, with three floor plans across two building types, including a dual primary suite layout ideal for roommates.

Construction on the first 18 units will break ground in February. A model home is expected by late March or early April. Move-in ready homes are expected to be available early this summer.

Reservations are currently being accepted ahead of the official opening. This gives prospective buyers a chance to secure their home before the first units are completed, and for the first 10 buyers, RGC is offering a free annual pass to the waterpark.
