When Fizz Wine & Liquor opened its doors in November, owner Pratyush Paul saw a longtime dream finally come to life.

He had spent more than a decade imagining a premium mom-and-pop liquor store that blended high-end presentation, curated variety and neighborhood warmth.

“I’ve been chasing this dream for the last 11 years, that someday I would open a premium liquor store where everybody has the option to pick the right product,” Paul said.

The right moment finally arrived. After months of planning, design and construction, Fizz Wine & Liquor LLC opened in McKinney on US 380, a fast-growing area surrounded by neighborhoods and new development.

The store was designed from the ground up with premium touches: flooring, shelving and a polished layout that make its 1,500-square-foot footprint feel elevated and welcoming.

Customer service and call-ahead ordering

Customer service is what keeps the community coming back.

Every detail is intentional, from new branded bags to bottle sleeves that protect customers’ purchases on the way home. Even checkout is handled with care, and the team makes sure customers feel taken care of from the moment they walk in until the moment they walk out.

That commitment continues with Fizz’s call-ahead pickup option, which allows customers to place an order by phone and have it packed, bagged and ready when they arrive. Orders of up to six bottles take only 10-15 minutes to prepare.

For Paul, this service isn’t just about convenience; it’s about hospitality.

A wide, curated selection

Fizz Wine & Liquor also carries a remarkably deep inventory of around $250,000 worth of wine, liquor, beer and specialty spirits.

Building the right selection started with understanding the surrounding community, studying traffic patterns on US 380 and surveying what local residents enjoy.

The result is a well-rounded collection of tequila, bourbon, malt whiskey, gin, wine and more.

Additional storage space behind the shop and above the cooler allows the team to keep extra inventory on hand, ensuring customers can find exactly what they want year-round.

A grand opening that exceeded expectations

The support Paul felt on opening day was extremely meaningful. After years of dreaming, months of work and careful planning, the store launched with a turnout that shocked even seasoned liquor store owners he spoke with afterward.

He remembers standing with his business partner as customers streamed in, purchase after purchase. The excitement was real and validating.

“I was surprised. I never expected it to be that booming on the very first day of business,” Paul said.

That strong start has motivated the team as they continue introducing the store to more residents.

With premium design, attentive service and a deep, hand-selected inventory, Paul hopes Fizz Wine & Liquor will become a neighborhood staple for years to come.

A launch promotion offering 10% off is running through the end of February. This promotion gives new customers a chance to experience the store’s service, selection and care.
