After over a decade in Plano, The Consignerie has moved to Frisco, bringing its designer experience to The Center at Preston Ridge.
The story behind The Consignerie
Before entering furniture consignment, owner Todd Shevlin ran two men’s clothing consignment stores in Dallas for 15 years. As that niche faded, he discovered a passion for furniture while working part time at a store in Addison.
“After a few months working part-time at The Consignment Store for Marianne O’Neil, she told me, ‘Todd, I’ve never said this to any of my employees before, but you’re too good at this to be working for me. You need to open your own store,’” Shelvin said. “Less than 90 days later, I found a location in Plano and opened it on July 5, 2010.”
Over the years, the business thrived, earning a reputation for curated, upscale items that cater to homeowners with an eye for style and quality.

Why shop at The Consignerie?
Shopping at The Consignerie means discovering a curated collection of high-quality designer pieces not found elsewhere. Shelvin personally selects inventory, often visiting clients’ homes to ensure every item meets the store’s standards.
“I turn down more inventory than I take,” Shelvin said. “I specialize in current pieces in excellent to mint condition—nothing dinged up or outdated.”
The Consignerie prioritizes quality over quantity and doesn’t rely on multistep markdowns, unlike many consignment stores. Every piece is chosen for style, value and lasting appeal, giving homeowners confidence in the beauty and durability of their purchase.
Shopping consignment contributes to sustainable living by giving pre-loved furniture and decor a second life instead of sending it to a landfill. Each purchase supports environmentally conscious shopping while delivering exceptional design.

More than shopping
The Consignerie goes beyond traditional consignment by offering personalized services to make every visit and purchase seamless.
Shelvin and designer Dale Wood provide expert interior design consultations to help clients select pieces that suit their space and style.
The store offers pickup and delivery services for an additional charge, ensuring a smooth experience from selection to setup.
